As an educator and Ph.D. candidate in the School of Education at SUNY Albany, she is guided by a vision of learning that goes beyond textbooks and tests. She cares about creating experiences that help children grow in knowledge, confidence, and purpose, while also strengthening families and communities.
Dr. Jamila A. Benmoussa, Vice President, is a physician, community advocate, and devoted homeschooling mother whose heart for this work is unmistakable. She leads with vision, care, and a strong belief that education should nurture identity as much as intellect. Her commitment to preserving Arabic language and cultural heritage comes from a deep understanding that children thrive when they are rooted in who they are and surrounded by learning that reflects their values.
Saba Anwar, Financial Director, is an educator with more than 15 years of experience homeschooling and creating holistic learning experiences for youth. She brings a steady and thoughtful presence to Al Sabeel Institute, along with a deep understanding of what it means to nurture children not only academically, but also emotionally and spiritually. As the Finance In-Charge, she supports the institute with care and responsibility, bringing strong experience in budgeting, bookkeeping, and wise financial stewardship. Her commitment to building sustainable, mission-aligned programs reflects her belief that good education should strengthen identity, confidence, and long-term growth.
Mayce Saleh, Programs Consultant, brings both professionalism and heart to Al Sabeel Institute. With a master’s degree in teaching mathematics and years of experience as a homeschooling parent, she understands the importance of learning that is practical, thoughtful, and responsive to children’s needs. She contributes to the institute with a calm, grounded approach and a genuine desire to help create educational experiences that support families and inspire children to grow with confidence.
